Graphite powder mixes into epoxy to give boat bottoms a smooth, black finish. It also adds slipperiness: when the hull bumps into something in the water, it tends to slide off and leave a scratch rather than a gouge.
- Common uses: boat bottoms, keels, rudders and centerboards
- Mix thoroughly into catalyzed epoxy before applying
- Graphite is not an antifouling paint
