Type 1700 is a 17 oz ±45° biaxial fabric with no mat. The fibers run at +45° and −45° and are stitched together rather than woven, so there's no crimp. That gives it more strength and stiffness per layer than woven cloth, and it drapes well around curves.
- Ideal for hull and deck reinforcement, stringer and bulkhead tabbing, and torsion and shear loads
- Compatible with epoxy, polyester and vinyl ester resins
- Wets out fast and builds thickness quickly, which saves layers in multi-ply layups
- 50" wide. Sold in 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 yard lengths, or by the full roll
Want a mat layer stitched to the back? See our Type 1708.
